Lutron, one of the biggest names in the upper echelons of smart lighting, has unveiled a couple of new exciting additions to its Caséta portfolio, most notably a new option for those low voltage areas that have remained stubbornly dumb during the smart home revolution.
The Diva smart dimmer ELV+ is designed to provide smart control for low-voltage applications, such as under-cabinet, track, accent, and tape lighting.
Designed with installers and home builders in mind, this versatile dimmer supports a wide range of residential lighting types, including LED, MLV, incandescent, and halogen.
Its phase-selectable dimming feature allows installers to choose between forward or reverse-phase dimming, ensuring optimal performance across different load types.
This selection can be made via the Lutron app or directly on the physical control, which will be available in six colors: white, ivory, light almond, black, brown, and grey.
The Diva smart dimmer ELV+ looks – intentionally – a lot like the other Caséta smart switches and pretty much matches the Diva switch that went live in 2022.
Diva is essentially a smart version of the same ‘dumb’ dimmer switch that has been a part of Lutron’s lineup for the last three decades, so everything should look good together, no matter how old your oldest Lutron switch is.
Lutron has also taken the covers off of some expanded color options for Pico Paddle Remotes, which are also now available in white, ivory, light almond, black, brown, and grey.
Previously offered only in white, these new colors allow for better coordination with the Diva smart dimmer and other Caséta products.
The Pico paddle remote offers intuitive and flexible control over Caséta smart switches, dimmers, Serena smart shades, and fans. With a 10-year battery life and the ability to function without a hub, app, or Wi-Fi, the Pico paddle remote makes it easy to control your lights without having to dig into the wall and find some wires.
Both the Diva smart dimmer ELV+ and the new Pico paddle remotes are now available through electrical distributors and online retailers that already carry Caséta controls.
