PREMIUM GERMAN STAINLESS STEEL with a composite G-10 handle. Legend uses X50CrMoV15 stainless steel, with a Rockwell Rating of HRC 56 + -1 for its knife blade. Also known as 1.4116 steel, this is the same steel used in surgical scalpels. It is incredibly durable and rust resistant, and holds an edge very well, while also being very easy to sharpen.
EASY TO CARE FOR and maintain! Regular correct honing will maintain your knife’s edge, so you only will have to actually sharpen it a few times a year. Always hand-wash with a gentle detergent and sponge, and never leave it sitting in a full sink of soapy water. Never wash in a dishwasher. Over time, the steam can warp the blade. For long life, towel dry and store in a horizontal slot butcher block, mounted on a magnetic wall strip, or in a knife sheath.
