IFA 2024: Why just have a robot vacuum cleaner when you can have it and a cordless in one?
SwitchBot has announced a range of new products at IFA 2024 in Berlin, with a new robot vacuum cleaner heading up the announcements. The K10+ Pro Combo has been revealed, alongside the SwitchBot Air Purifier and SwitchBot Roller Shade, with all coming out before the end of the year.
The K10+ Pro Combo is a 3-in-1 home vacuuming solution, offering the functionality of the SwitchBot K10+ Pro – claimed to be the world’s smallest robot vacuum, along with a cordless vacuum and a self-emptying base in one product.
The idea is that the K10+ Pro Combo will be able to tackle every corner of your home, from floors to ceiling. A robot vacuum cleaner on its own can handle the floors, but it can’t climb the ceilings as yet, for example.
It has an all-around dust collection system with a dual auto-empty base station known as FusionBase that handles the waste from the K10+ Pro Combo’s robot vacuum, as well as the Cordless Vacuum. SwitchBot claims the 3L dust bag only needs to be emptied once every 70 days.
Both the robot vacuum cleaner and the Cordless Vacuum have TwinFlow Suction Technology and the FusionBase is said to use a smaller footprint than an A4 piece of paper. The mini vacuum supports Matter via SwitchBot compatible hubs, while a dual anti-tangle design allows for dealing with hair and the dual quiet modes enables night cleaning without waking you up.
Alongside the K10+ Pro Combo, SwitchBot also revealed the Air Purifier and Air Purifier Table, with the latter serving as a table, wireless charger, and ambient light source, along with being an air purifier.
The Roller Shade meanwhile adds to the company’s Curtain product, offering an adjustable smart roller shades for all windows. SwitchBot claims it is the world’s first adjustable and fabric-replaceable smart roller shade. You can adjust its width from 22.8-inches to 72.8-inches for a precise fit, and you can select a fabric to match your home.
The Roller Shade is operated using the SwitchBot app, voice commands or remote control depending on your preference. Through Matter, the Roller Shade will also integrate with other smart home platforms for a more seamless experience (in theory).
The SwitchBot K10+ Pro Combo, Air Purifier, Air Purifier Table and Roller Shade are available to pre-order now and they will launch later this year.
